Our modern obsession, a library’s brilliant Instagram marketing, and the one thing all creative people do.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]There’s a little mini-geyser of excitement and anticipation gurgling throughout the office right now. We’ve recently hired some fantastic new folks to join our team, launched an incredible project and are in the planning stages for our next property, a drastic departure, style-wise, from anything we’ve ever done before (more on that in a few days).
What better month than March, when spring is just around the corner, to ready ourselves for a new season of growth and creativity?
Here’s a little secret, though: “Creativity” can be a loaded word, even for creatives. Many of us, who work in what are known as creative fields (marketing, advertising, editorial, filmmaking and the like) simply feel too modest or intimidated to identify as such. We think, ‘That person over there is much more innovative than me. He’s the real creative.’
Well, marketing maven Ann Handley sees it differently. Find out why she believes everyone has creative potential in The One Thing All Creative People Do.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]
Then, settle in for more March inspiration, courtesy of other fine online makers and doers:
- One For the Books: In a recent interview with RUHM, Handley named the New York Public Library’s Instagram feed as one of her favorite social-media marketing outlets. We couldn’t agree more. Their posts go beyond bookish to incredibly, well, creative. We especially love Book Face Friday.
- Coolhunting 2.0: Many media outlets cover the luxury lifestyle but few, if any, do it as cleverly as Supercompressor. If you aspire to become an international man of mystery who knows the answers to all of life’s most important questions (including how long it would take to travel to every planet), this is your spot.
- Contemporary Eye Candy: We’re immersing ourselves in the contemporary aesthetic in anticipation of our next project, and that means frequenting architecture photographer Fernando Guerra’s incredible Instagram feed.
- Midcentury, Made to Order: While we’re not all able to live in abodes as ambitious and artistic as the ones Guerra photographs, we can all have a little more modern in our lives, thanks to Midcentury replica furniture company Thrive Home Furnishings.
