Candy canes, glowing trees, and eight pricey luxuries we can’t help but wish for.

Here at RUHM, we’re a pie-in-the-sky sort of group. We brainstorm. We go with the big idea. We’re not afraid to try new things, even if they seem prohibitively ambitious. The same goes for our holiday wish list. So, here it is: stuff we’d love to have, if we could have it all.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]August Smart Lock[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]

1. August Smart Lock

Who Wants It: Greg, our Cinematographer / Editor

At some point Greg realized he just needed to let people in. We’re not talking about his emotional health. Literally, he discovered he had to open his door for all kinds of people all the time.

There was the dog walker, the contractor, his cousin Eula who waters the mini succulent garden, and his Uncle Ed, who flies in from Tucson every Christmas Eve just in time for a slice of Aunt Osla’s famous Whisky Dundee.

Just kidding. Greg doesn’t know who any of those other people are. He did, however, lose a promising jug of Arnie Palmie during the great grocery bag wreck of Aug. 2014, while fumbling for his keys.

Here’s some more truth: Greg has a job. And commitments that require him to be “not home” most of the time. Instead of trying to figure out how to coordinate myriad key handoffs, he’s wishing for the August Smart Lock. It acts like an electronic lock and key, allowing him to control the opening and closing of his own front door, right from his smartphone. It also notifies him when the folks he lets in actually leave. And locks the door behind them. Bonus: he can unlock the door from his car on his next grocery run. Bag breakthrough averted! We’ll drink to that.

2. Marcel Armchair

Who Wants It: Whitney, our Account Director

Whitney’s dining table is feeling sad.

It’s not saying why, but our best guess is that it’s sans chairs. Whitney is sympathetic, so of course, she’s making it her mission to procure some stylish seating. This cafe chair tops her list. You’re welcome, table.

3. Myo Arm Band

Who Wants It: Greg again. Sheesh!

This thing lets you control stuff without actually touching it.

Not with telepathy (we’re not there yet), but with technology (Bluetooth, to be precise). And before you think, ‘my good old arms and hands are just fine for turning on the lights, thankyouverymuch,’ you might want to check out what DJ Armin Van Buuren is doing with this crazy little gizmo.

4. Slayer Espresso Machine

Who Wants It: Kaitlyn, our Direct Marketing Specialist

With the word “direct” in her title and a product like the Slayer on her mind, you’d think Kaitlyn might come across as intimidating. The thing is, she’s extremely not so. But she is caffeinated. Kaitlyn loves a delicious cup of coffee more than most. While others might search incessantly for the perfect piece of art for above the mantle, Kaitlyn wants nothing more than a slayer for her kitchen; the kind that turns out pure bean-derived bliss on the daily.

5. Brioni Suit

Who Wants It: Daniel, our Account Executive

No big deal, but Daniel would like the Brioni Vanquish II, stitched in white gold if at all possible. Like that other Daniel.

6. Glass APPS™ Privacy Glass

Who Wants It: Chris, our Photographer / Retoucher

Despite his pristine work photographing some of the world’s finest properties, Chris dreams of owning a tiny house.

OK, really, Chris wants a tiny house to put in the backyard of his big, big house. Either way, he knows it’s hard to find a room of one’s own when your living room is your dining room, is your bedroom, is your kitchen.

Nevermind, Chris has thought the better of it and decided he doesn’t want a tiny house after all. But he still wants privacy in his sort-of-big house. Maybe without so much commitment, though. Wait, no commitment at all, actually. Enter this electric privacy glass, which turns from transparent to opaque at the push of a button.

7. Tesla Model S Dual Motor

Who Wants It: Mark, our CEO

Mark likes Tesla because it’s tech-sexy. The Model S is fast, beautiful, and the first of its kind, like the luxury marketing company he started. “I’m attracted to things that change an industry. Tesla does that.” Well said, Mark.

8. Eames Lounge Chair

Who Wants It: Steven, our Lead Web Developer

Steven is the man in the shadows. We know he exists because every time we send him a message like, “Steven, how’s this for metadata?” He’s like, “Awesome! Thanks.” Then he puts the material online, in seconds. Understated elegance, that’s what Steven is all about (we think). So it’s no surprise that he’s into the Eames Chair. An Eames is never in poor taste. It’s a classic. It’s just so nice, without announcing its presence too loudly. Like Steven.
