We’re back from the land of bright lights, late nights and the most unique home we’ve ever bowled in.

The RUHM team just returned from a week in Sin City where we experienced more than our share of  beautiful people, fruity umbrella cocktails and pool sitting. Some of us vaguely remember a jacuzzi rooftop deck and hobnobbing with a few models and actresses. Others are still seeing random flashbacks of a full-service bar, trips to the spa and … cosmic bowling?

Yep, we’re all a bit bleary-eyed from our six-day blur. But it’s not what you think …

We road-tripped to Vegas to film and photograph one of the finest examples of desert-modern architecture ever created, just 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. With a shade structure the size of a Boeing 747 airplane wing, an outdoor bed / jacuzzi suite and the first rammed-earth wall in the state to be used on a modern-day structure, it’s the sleekest, most unique residence we’ve ever set foot in. We can’t wait to share the results with you.

We’ll be hard at work on video and photo editing, copywriting and PR strategizing for this property in the coming weeks, and you know us: We won’t release the results ‘til they’re as amazing as the home itself. But until then, we couldn’t resist sharing some of our favorite features of this contemporary stunner.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][image_with_animation image_url=”2234″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]CAVU Las Vegas, also known as 7 Sable Ridge, was designed by renowned architect Eric Strain to serve as the primary residence for two Las Vegas hospitality-industry architects. So, thoughtful design elements and attention to materials abound.

For example, notice the 13-foot, solid-teak door encased in blackened steel and framed by low-e (low-emissivity) glass (above left). The rammed-earth wall to the left of the door, a nod to traditional Adobe construction, surrounds a majority of the property and deflects the desert heat and sun, keeping the home cool and comfortable year-round.

The rooftop deck (above right) is one of many outdoor-entertaining spaces the home offers. And yep, that’s a TV (one of 21 on this property) encased in the deck surround.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][image_with_animation animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self” image_url=”2175″][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]Here’s that 140-foot winglike structure we mentioned earlier. Not only does it provide a stunning focal point for this property, but it also shades the entire South-facing side of the home. Bonus: The winged roof houses 10 Kilovolts of Photovoltaic (PV) panels, which offset a large portion of the home’s energy use with clean solar power.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_gallery type=”nectarslider_style” interval=”3″ images=”2168,2167,2230,2169″ layout=”3″ gallery_style=”2″ onclick=”link_no” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”1000×400″ flexible_slider_height=”true”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]Finally, the fun stuff: There’s a pool and spa, and plenty of seating as well as water, fire and light features in the first-level outdoor entertaining space. On the ground floor, you’ll find a bowling alley, movie theater and 2,000 bottle, inventory- and temperature-controlled glass wine cellar.

A familiar character will return to give you a tour of this Last Vegas masterpiece you won’t likely forget. So stay tuned for more on our adventure, including behind-the-scenes photo and video, in the coming weeks. Cheers![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]
