Entranced by this desert-modern decor? Here’s how to make it yours.
Sleek, sexy and sustainable? You guessed it, we’re talking about our favorite desert-modern marvel, 7 Sable Ridge Court, otherwise known as CAVU Las Vegas. This 13,255 square-foot home is a stunning blend of earth tones and bold colors that work together to create a space its owners describe as a “living work of art.”
Nestled behind the exclusive gates of the Promontory section of The Ridges of Summerlin South and resting 1,000 feet above the Las Vegas strip with panoramic views of Bear’s Best golf course and Red Rock Canyon, this home is a destination for entertainment at its finest. (You’d expect as much from the current homeowners, who designed Vegas’s Mandalay Bay, the Borgata in Atlantic City and the MGM in Macau.)
We love the way this high-tech pad caters to those who like to entertain with a little bit of whimsy. Urban patterns and geometrically handsome furniture imbued with avant-garde comfort abounds in this three-story contemporary space. At the same time, feather-down pillows, cozy texture throws, and rectangular skylight slices deliver just the right amount of natural warmth.
As much as we want to retreat to this resort-style haven every night of the week, not all of us can call CAVU home. But it is possible to channel its quintessential Las Vegas vibe with a piece or two of your own. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Discover the Designers:
Ken Klaus and Ann Fleming of Cleo Design furnished and accented the interior and exterior spaces.
Meet the Makers:
World-renowned architect Eric Strain of Assemblage Studio designed this home. Strain, along with the homeowners, chose the surfaces, finishes and fixtures.
